British Virgin Education Statistical Digest

This digest, the first of an annual publication, is made possible in large part because of the interest and insistence of the Minister of Education and the resolve of the Chief Education Officer (Ag.). The production was facilitated by the Ministry of Education, along with collaboration, guidance and assistance from the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States Education Development Management Unit (OECS EDMU) and United Nations Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF). The Central Statistics Office’s (CSO) participation in our capacity building workshop in 2014 helped to increase the response rate from the schools and Early Childhood Centres. All the educational institutions in the Virgin Islands are represented in the 2013/14 Data set and indicators. The maps showing the location of education institutions were produced by the Town and Country Planning Department.
